Neuropsychological difficulties are common following an acquired brain injury (ABI) and in many neurological conditions, and accurate and timely assessment of these difficulties can enable people to develop a better understanding of their experiences, and access appropriate treatment and rehabilitation. Changes in cognition, mood and behaviour can arise from a range of neurological causes, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), hypoxia, tumour, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and dementia.
Dr Clara O'Brien is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist based in West Sussex (UK) with specialist experience in neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation and in the provision of therapy for adults with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and neurological illnesses. Dr O'Brien is a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society, on the BPS Specialist Register of Neuropsychologists and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
