Dr O'Brien is an Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist (CPsychol; QiCN; DClinPsych; PGDip Neuropsychology; BSc Hons) with specialist experience in neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation, including diagnostic assessments. We provide a service to adults within Brighton & Hove and West Sussex, with regular clinics in Hove and Worthing.

Dr O'Brien is a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society and is on the BPS Specialist Register of Neuropsychologists. In addition to doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Surrey, Dr O'Brien has further post-doctoral training specific to the field of Neuropsychology, including the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). Areas of speciality include Traumatic Brain Injury, concussion and HIV related cognitive difficulties. Dr O'Brien is skilled at working with people who have experienced a stroke as well as a range of neurological illnesses, including multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, dementia, hypoxia and encephalitis.
